The best of 2018 (and a hint of what's to come)

A year in review! 

It's been an incredible year for our Effortless Art family.  From expanding our reach into the retail market, being nominated for Best New Local Product in the Erie Reader, and making their Made In Erie 2018 Gift Guide, to all the wonderful collaborations with bloggers, therapists, and educators, 2018 was an awesome year.  We wanted to take a moment and remember some of our favorite memories and give you a sneak peak of what's to come in 2019!  Make sure you read till the end of the blog to get a New Year's discount code for a FREE pack of crayons! 

This was a very busy year for us! We loved the many opportunities we had to exhibit as a vendor at conferences and be a part of local events and festivals.  Nancy was especially excited to present her research on our crayons.  Meeting people, hearing their stories, and learning from their insights and experiences is one of our favorite parts of our job!

Our many collaborations and new ventures were another exciting part of 2018.  We came out with a new coloring book, My First Masterpieces, which was a collaboration between ourselves and art students from Edinboro University, as part of services through the Innovation Beehive network.

We also collaborated with many different photographers, therapists, and bloggers who were able to tell our story through a creative and eloquent lens. Lastly, our year was filled with projects, outings, and lots of fun times as a family.  We have loved going to baseball and hockey games with our Crayon Kid and watching him grow up and learn more and more each day.  Jason and I are so lucky to be able share our lives and our passions for art, music, and helping others with our son.  We are truly blessed to have each other. 

Coming in the New Year - so much to share! We hope to launch our new  product, Dex the Effortless Pen Grip through Kickstarter in the spring which will finalize our Effortless Art line of products.    We have loved dabbling a bit with a podcast and we will be sharing a lot more of our Parenting From the Edge episodes. 

New on the horizon is the branching out of our overall company, Two Sparrows Learning Systems, to add Two Sparrows Design and Development. More to come on this new venture later on. Jason and I are excited to further use our engineering and education skillsets to help others.
